We had a lovely day in the sun today although on the agility front didn’t do that well!

We were both as bad as each other today. Bill ran in 3 runs but was being a mummy’s boy and kept stopping after each jump to see where his mum had vanished too! So we ended up with time faults in both our first 2 runs. Our 3rd run was better (i think we had both woken up by then) and we managed to get around within the time limit and came 3rd, which means we have enough points to move up from beginners into novice!

Well done little team mate, your a true star !

We were glad of a bit of dry weather but Bill being nearly 10yrs old was feeling very tired after his long day out so went home for a good rest! Although a late starter to agility he absolutely loves it, so we will keep going with him until he tells us he’s had enough.

Wow what a great couple of days! We spent 2 days with the wolf pack management team learning about pack structure, communication, body language and canine behaviour. This is the second course we have taken with Linda of wolf pack management and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone wishing to learn more about wolf and canine behaviour.

This time we were lucky enough to meet Shaun Ellis and talk to him about his experiences living with the wolves. He also introduced us to his 4wk old wolf pups!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Shaun, Linda, Judy and Roger for making us feel so welcome and teaching us so much.

If anyone is interesting in visiting the wolves or taking one of their courses please go to: www.wolfpack-management.com

What a fab week spent with Angela Stockdale. Myself & 2 other trainers spent the first 2 days at the RSPCA, West Hatch branch in Taunton watching Angela’s behaviour assessments and seeing cases of owners with aggressive dogs coming in for advice from Angela.

The 3rd day was spent watching Angela’s socialization classes, which was very educational. Days 4 & 5 were spent at Angela’s house learning how she does her livestock training.

I found this course very good as Angela works very much in line with the dogs emotions.

I recommend to anyone that has an aggressive dog to contact Angela. If your problems are that bad it is worth the travelling to get to her!!

Take a look at her website www.dog-partnership.co.uk

Then things took a down turn and Bill who normally loves tunnels got 10 faults in the tunnel challenge by running around them instead of through!! Ha Ha come on Bill you know what to do, stop playing me up!! Next was the agility class and it was all going well until we got eliminated for messing up the weaves again!!

Oh dear never mind, better luck next time.

Next Bill’s owner, a lovely lady called Pam, ran Bill and also got a clear round! Well done Pam. Bill was very tired at the end of the evening from carrying around all his rosettes!!
